When processing hazardous solid substances, e.g. in the pharmaceutical industry, dust extraction is a fundamental part of the production process.

This is because dust is inevitably generated when, for example, solids are fed into a machine. The suitability of the filter system for certain active substances depends, among other things, on predefined OEL values (Occupational Exposure Limit).

These quantify the amount of "active ingredient per standard cubic meter of breathing air" to which a person may be exposed over eight hours without their health being impaired. OEL limits are assigned to OEB classes (Occupational Exposure Band).

In parallel with the protection of operating personnel, the residual dust values of a filter system, i.e., the protection of the environment, must also be considered. Adequate requirements must also apply here.

In view of the highly sensitive applications of filter devices, we have developed safe systems for the contamination-free replacement of filter cartridges or filter cassettes and for dust discharge.

The "Safe-Change" technology is very often used for this purpose. This method meets the highest standards for handling hazardous substances, taking into account the safety of employees and the environment.
