Bad Homburg offers many different  running events, but so far no marathon or half-marathon. On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the sport club Dornholzhausen organised a half-marathon. After two years of planning, 209 runners and 17 relays with each two runners started on August 11th, 2018. It was a warm summer evening with perfect temperature for running.

The topographic profile was not a really good one for a marathon, but more an exhausting one. A total altitude of 215 metres through the forest up to the „Saalburg“ needed to be conquered. In order to not get  lost, scouts were positioned along the junctions. 

Our four Infastaub runners were rewarded for their performances with the first place in the men relay and two fantastic results in the single classifications.

Also the traditional running event „Bad Homburg runs after work“, which is always in september, was again a target date for running enthusiasts of Infastaub. Six men and two women were registered for the run. Our successful marathon runner Klaus Schott already crossed the finish line after 0:20:36. Again, the runners were accompanied by numerous colleagues. They motivated the runners along the way. Afterwards all of them had a great party evening together.

The runners were equipped for both events with new Infastaub shirts. Also the starting fee was paid by Infastaub for both runs. We say thank-you for that!
