Dedusting of two stainless steel caissons, in which radioactive waste is disaggregated, sorted and reconditioned, is carried out by two identical cassette filters, type INFA-MICRON MKR 5/20-4/20. The cassette filters were planned with two filter stages in order to achieve a higher cleaning efficiency of the slightly nuclear dust.

Another preventive measure against the radioactive dust is the safe-change system for change of the filter cassettes and dust collecting bins free of contamination. The gas tight design of the filter units additionally prevents the area around from possible dust contamination.
