- Filter element in rectangular block shape. A filer media package is inserted into a housing (frame) made out of wood or metal and circumferentially sealed. Mostly used design in filtration of supended matters. A filter cell is also used for other filter types.
- Smaller single filter elements are put together to a cassette. E.g. smaller bag filter or cartriged filter are assembled to bag cassettes or cartridge cassettes in order to carry out a faster change of filter media.
