For more than 16 years, Berthold Geppert shaped and guided the fortunes of Infastaub and manoeuvred the ship safely through various crises such as the financial crisis, Corona, supply bottlenecks, etc. His career led him via DISA APC (today Nederman MikroPul) and Handte Umwelttechnik (today Camfil APC) to Infastaub at the end of 2006. Now, the accomplished filter technology specialist, who has spent his entire professional life in this industry, is saying goodbye to Infastaub at the end of 2022.

After many years of commuting from Bad Homburg to the Black Forest, Berthold Geppert wanted to spend more time in his home region and with his family again. Infastaub and Thomas Blüggel, main shareholder of the Infastaub parent company, do not have to do without Berthold Geppert completely. He will continue to act in an advisory role and support the stabilisation and expansion of the group.

His successor, Norbert Kuhn, a graduate engineer in materials science, has already taken over on 1 October 2022. A well-supported change of leadership is ensured by this three-month dual leadership. It is a win-win solution for all involved, because it gives enough time for a successful handover. The 57-year-old Franconian is no stranger to Infastaub. Norbert Kuhn was Technical Managing Director at Herding Filtertechnik for eight years. During this time, the father of three focused on business process optimisation in the supply chain with the order fulfilment process, the expansion of the service business, as well as innovation management and digitalisation to expand the product portfolio and the range of services. The focus was particularly on industry-specific filter solutions, because every dust removal process has very different requirements.

Four milestones mark the path of Norbert Kuhn's career: his first professional years at Josef Gartner GmbH, a specialist in key technologies for modern facade construction; his position as plant manager in process engineering at Altana-Eckart GmbH, which produces metallic effect and pearlescent pigments as well as concentrates, dispersions and printing inks; his 7-year tenure as managing director at Gebhardt Logistic Solution, among others, where efficient technical logistics solutions are developed and manufactured; and last but not least, his many years as managing director at Herding Filtertechnik.

Infastaub will know how to use the know-how Norbert Kuhn has gathered in his professional stations for technical investment goods. In the coming weeks, he will first get to know all departments and their employees. In the long term, Norbert Kuhn sees the focus on strengthening Infastaub's core business and the digital transformation in the company's divisions. As an important part of his daily work, he plans to provide decisive impetus for the development of new growth areas in order to make Infastaub fit for future challenges.

Berthold Geppert will certainly also find his place in the new phase of his life, because, among other things, his honorary board activities for a large citizens' energy cooperative (BEG), which realises projects for wind energy and photovoltaic plants, await him. In addition, he still has to catch up on many leisure activities and make good use of the new time with friends and family. All Infastaub employees wish him good health, happiness and well-being!
